Our Programs

Leadership Academy 1.0

The Leadership Academy teaches and trains activists, volunteers, and other interested individuals the skills necessary to educate voters, mobilize communities, and build power for their causes. As a learning community, we not only teach theory, but we put it into practice during each training as well as provide opportunities for everyone to apply the skills they learn the next day in their communities.

Our Fall 2017 application will be open soon.

Politics and Potluck

Politics and Potluck was launched in 2010 as an opportunity for our community to gather together monthly to discuss a hot topic affecting our communities on social justice issues from healthcare, affordable housing, climate change,

Join us each month for an exciting discussion on a hot topic affecting our communities with delicious hot food to go with it. We'll provide the paper products and discussion topics, you bring your voice and dish to share!

Our Potlucks are free and open to the public. Potlucks are held on the third Thursday of every month at Organize Florida’s Orlando office from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Know Your Rights Series

Do you know your rights? Have you ever been at a protest, pulled over by law enforcement, or questioned about your immigration status and felt that your rights have violated?

Standing up for your rights can be challenging, especially when you feel intimidated by law enforcement. But knowing your rights is the most powerful weapon you have against mistreatment.

Organize Florida launched a free educational series for the public which is designed to help community members gain further understanding of your civil, social, voting, and labor rights. It is our hope that you will leave each workshop feeling empowered to take action if you are ever concerned that your rights have been violated.
